1st day- Zlatibor Mountain and surroundings

The first stop on your tour is Stopića cave in the Zlatibor area. This cave is unique by its massive entry (20m high and 40m wide) and unusual limestone tubes filled with water. For visitors is available 500m long track for exploring and wandering around.

From the cave, you continue to Sirogojno ethnology museum. Sirogojno is a unique complex with around 50 preserved authentic wooden objects from the XVIII century. These interesting objects are organized in 2 households and represent how local people used to live more than 200 years ago.

Another natural gem is located just a few kilometers from Sirogojno- Gostilje waterfall. This charming 20m high waterfall creates slopes and rapids which make pleasant refreshment on hot summer days. Stream after the waterfall creates fabulous cascades which are surrounded by pure nature.

After all this sightseeing you will sure get hungry and your next stop will fill your stomachs and relax all your senses. In the village Ljubis, you will find an authentic household Pećinar which will be your place of stay for 2 nights. This cozy place surrounded by intact nature and with friendly hosts will make you feel at home.

2nd day- Sargan Eight train ride and Višegrad town

The day starts with the tastiest homemade breakfast you’ll ever try and continues with picturesque views on the way to Mokra Gora. After one hour drive, you will reach the famous Sargan Eight train station. Authentic coaches with wooden seats, wood-burning stove, and characteristic rattling sound will take you on 2,5 hours long ride. The track on this section is around 15km long and passes through 22 tunnels with overcoming an altitude difference of 300m. Through the lush nature of Mokra Gora (Park of Nature), this romantic train ride will make you fall in love with this part of Serbia.

After a train ride, you continue towards Bosnia and Hercegovina to the nearby town of Višegrad. In this charming town, you will visit the remarkable Drina bridge from the XV century which is listed as a UNESCO heritage site. Close to the bridge you can also check out Andrić town- a popular tourist complex dedicated to famous Serbian writer and Nobel prize winner- Ivo Andrić. With our help, you’ll find out where to eat the tastiest specialty “cevapi” and how to book an exciting boat ride.

Rest of the day you can spend it in the most popular attraction in Mokra Gora – authentic wooden town Kustendorf or go straight back to Pećinar for some delicious trout.

3rd day- Tara Mountain exploration

After breakfast, it is time to say goodbye to your hosts and to meet beautiful Tara Mountain. The first activity will be a walk through the forest which is believed is older than humankind. This unique “Carpet Meadow” is an interesting phenomenon worth visiting.

More walk through the green forest will take you to one of the most popular viewpoints in Tara Mountain. Banjska stena will take your breath away and make you do a bunch of photos in order to capture this panoramic view over the National park.

The next stop is at the bottom of the mountain and it is the shortest river you’ll ever see. River Vrelo is only 365m long and you can follow the flow from the spring to the confluence with Drina river.

Just follow Drina river and you will get to another intriguing sight in this area. Drina house is something that you have to check out while you’re here. From a nice coffee place, you will see this unusual site – literally a real house standing on a rock in the middle of the river.

Here your tour officially ends and before you drive home or to your next destination, we’ll provide some recommendations for lunch in this area.
