Dear traveler, this tour will not be available during the winter season. It’ll be available again after 01.05.2017. Early bookings can be made using our online reservation system.

If you are a nature lover this tour is just perfect for you. Far away from cities and concrete, only green colour in different shades with sounds and smells of pure nature. Mixture of natural phenomena, intact nature of national park, attractive sights and long walks over the biggest Serbian mountain will definitely make you want to stay longer or to come again.

You will meet #YourSerbiaHost early in the morning at agreed place (your hotel or other place of your stay in Belgrade) and we’ll drive directly to Devil’s Town. Together with occasional stops we reach our first destination around noon. Few facts about this place you should know: total number of soil figures is 202 and their height vary from 2 to 15 meters. There are two springs inside of the complex, Devil’s Water and Red Well. Characteristic for both springs is their high mineralization and strong acidity. During winter and fall, when strong winds are blowing, distinctive roar is formed from the air passing through soil figures. All of these phenomena were the reasons for locals to name this place Devil’s Town. Today we are just warming up, Devil’s town is more of a natural attraction than a real hiking challenge, but you’ll enjoy every minute of it. Time we’ll need to make a tour around the place is around two hours and even though it’s more of a stroll then a hike, it’s advisable that you wear comfortable and sporty footwear because of terrain configuration, and also light clothes since there are few climbs and some stairs which will drain few drops of your sweat.

When visit of the Devil’s Town is finished we’ll go to a local tavern for deserved lunch break and to try some of the local food. Aside from perfect food this place is perfectly peaceful as well.

After lunch we’ll continue to our destination for the day, mountain Kopaonik, the largest massif in Serbia and also a National park. Beauty of this mountain is breathtaking. With its peaks, meadows, astonishing views and clean air it will present us nature in its best. We’ll have an overnight here, to have a rest before our hike in the morning.

In the morning we’ll have breakfast and after we check-out from the hotel we’ll get to the center of the resort and from here we’ll go on a hike to the peaks Nebeske stolice (2017m a.s.l.) and Suvo rudište (1976m a.s.l.). Along the trail we’ll see several interesting areas of the mountain, like archaeological site Crkvine, which is still under exploration, meadows covered with blueberries and juniper (if it’s picking season you can eat those as much as you like), but also views towards highest peaks in central Serbia, Kosovo and Montenegro. This hiking trail is not extremely demanding, but it’ll require certain level of physical fitness, adequate gear (hiking shoes and poles) and at least one change in your backpack. We will provide water, energy bars and few sandwiches to renew your energy along the hike. The whole hike is approx. 4-5 hours depending on your fitness and pace.

When we return to the resort’s center we’ll pack our gear and continue further to the west in the direction of Ibar river valley, also known as “Valley of the kings” because of its vibrant history and many medieval monasteries which were built by medieval Serbian rulers. Lunch break is planned in a famous restaurant “Kod Mira” in village Bogutovac, which is ran by the same family for two hundred years.

After lunch our journey continues through Kraljevo and Kragujevac and we finally return to Belgrade in the evening.

Indeed it is the ideal trip for nature lovers be in Devil`s town, the ethno village or Kopaonik. You can enjoy a wide range of landscapes and atmospheres which have all authenticity in common. Miljan is also very strong when it comes to bring you to tiny and delicious local restaurants where the food is simple but excellent. Highly recommended!
