If you missed your chance to visit The International Fair of Tourism in Belgrade which was closed yesterday on 24th of February then you definitely should feel regrets. Under the domes of Belgrade Fair 1000 exhibitors from 45 countries made their best effort to present their offers in most tempting way. In the same venue connected events were held: Beowine – wine fair and Food and Drinks fair.
Everything needed for ultimate pleasure under one roof. Travels, exotic destinations, wine, food… Definitely place to be. Visitors had opportunity to meet with various exotic destinations, but also to check offers of local tourism organisations as well. Besides information on conventional travel arrangements most exhibitors made extra effort to present their countries in most authentic way possible by presenting natural beauties, local customs, traditional music and homemade specialities. It was a complete pleasure for all senses, especially for those visitors who could enjoy sounds of Brazilian Samba and dancers in authentic Brazilian outfit (girls are actually from Novi Sad, but they looked 100% genuine), karaoke performance by Indonesian ladies, original Serbian music, taste Šljivovica (plum brandy), quince jam, various wines, greaves, ironed sausage and numerous other delicacies. Fair visit was short tour through different parts of the world and Serbia as well, interesting enough to intrigue you in choosing your next destination for following vacation.
If you were more in the mood for wine tasting all you had to do is bring your wine glass with you or buy one at dedicated booth at “just” 3€ per peace and voila, your seek for the truth could began. Judging to the large number of gathered people on this event it seems that there were a lot of truth seekers, accordingly booths were filled with people with ruddy faces, wide smiles and blurry looks. But we cannot hold it against them, place was bursting with fine winemakers and even greater wines.
Yet another fair has gone and till the next one we will travel and taste wine in our own arrangement.
